Rata Counselling Centre offers professional, affordable counselling services for individuals, youth, and couples in Christchurch.
From 16 January 2012 we will be located at 240B Barrington Street, in a safe, inviting building close to Barrington Mall, and a nearby bus stop. Our friendly relaxed environment, is a place where you can come to be supported and accepted, without being judged.
Like the word ‘rata’ which is Maori for friendly, seer and doctor, our counsellors provide warmth, compassion, confidentiality and their professional expertise to empower people to make positive change in their lives.
All of our counsellors at Rata Counselling Centre value the counselling process and have undertaken personal therapy so "we all walk the talk". In fact, having the experience of sitting in the client's chair and addressing our own issues is a criteria for working with Rata's counselling services in Christchurch.

Youth Counselling (10 – 25 years)
Are you feeling overwhelmed, lost, lonely or struggling with life. At Rata, we offer a safe place where you can talk privately with specially trained youth counsellors who will listen and not judge you.
